Water filler for the fresh Water Tank
This is my method of filling the Fresh water tank.
When on a camp site for long periods, sometimes it is not convenient to move the Motorhome, just to fill the water tank. So I use a 25 litre water container especially for fresh water.
Filling the Fresh water tank on the Wanderer is a chore as it is rather high for an 'SA' like me.
When full, the 25 litre water container I use is very heavy. I came up with this solution for myself.
I purchased from my local dealer a pump and tube, suitable for attaching to the pump. I extended the pump 12volt cable and soldered a plug to it. I also fitted switch in the cable. While in use I found a local control was necessary.
For convenience a 12Volt voltage source socket was constructed and fitted inside the Leisure battery locker. See photo below

So it's just a case of plugging in, placing the pump in a water container and sit back while the pump does it's work.
I use an old collapsible 2 wheeled shopping trolley for moving the container about. It's also useful for carrying the toilet cassette.
For those not inclined to use the soldering iron, perhaps some battery clips could be used and attached to the leisure battery, to operate the pump.
After I constructed my contraption, I found Whale has a similar "Bubble" pack which can be purchased for £35. [June 03]
